INTRODUCTION Najma Ebrahim, Coordinator There has been a delay in producing this Report simply because of manpower shortage. The complexities of managing a Helpline today puts a great strain on the existing, dedicated members. No wonder then that all that interest a couple of years back in starting new Helplines like ours have not resulted in long-lasting and resilient services which can help bear the burden. The complexities of problems presented are even more straining. As an extension to what was said in the last Report, some positive action by the community at large to address the problems of relationship breakdown is visible but not enough to close the gap between problems and solutions/interventions which should concern all. |
